LOUZANTRAIL LONGO, a challenging semi self-sufficiency race with an approximate distance of 29 km and 2000 D+, is held on January 27, 2019 at 9:00 AM, through the paths and trails of the Serra da Lousã, passing through the Schist Villages of Lousã Municipality.
A race that, through pedestrian paths, rural paths, valleys and mountains, reveals the history of the Serra de Lousã, in the heart of Portugal. The only event of the Golden Trail National Series that takes place in Portugal where pastors, red deer and athletes will cross the famous Villages that form the network of the Aldeias do Xisto, to connect with the culture of the region and its charms.

To participate in the event, the athlete must be aware of the specific difficulties of trail running and the positive and negative slopes of the races, and of being adequately prepared physically and mentally.
The athlete must have prior awareness of the actual capacity of autonomy required in mountain, in order to be able to manage the problems that derive from this type of challenge, namely:
- To be able to face adverse environmental and climatic conditions (high temperatures, low humidity, etc.) without outside help.
- Know-how to manage the physical and mental problems resulting from extreme fatigue, digestive problems, muscle and joint pains, minor injuries, etc.
